Whilst much of this site is either my own work or sourced from the halachic texts, I am very much indebted to my teacher Vivian Solomon z’’l for his introducing me to the largely hidden world of sofrut and also to Dr. Eric Ray for the initial and continuing inspiration and for his sketches on quill cutting and sewing. Photos and scanned stuff are mostly my own images but occasionally I have used images from other sites or books where I am unable to obtain my own (for example pictures of k’laf preparation (as this no longer takes place in Britain) and some images for tefillin production) and I am very grateful to these sources. Whilst I think I host the only British website on sofrut, there are a number of excellent American and Israeli sites that I have visited in my researches. Other sites on sofrut worth paying a visit to are: Master sofer Eliezer Adam’s website Machon Melechet Shamayim www.soferstam.org You can also read more about the resources available from the Machon on this website by clicking here. http://www.mezuzahdoctor.com http://www.torahscribe.com http://www.shemayisrael.co.il/orgs/stam/index.htm http://www.stam.net http://www.tefillin.co.il now with an amazing streaming video detailing tefillin production!
